All of your calls are going to be complete idiots who should not be touching a computer.
Even when you are level 2 or 3, you still get primarily idiots.
All you really need to do is familiarize yourself with the TCP/IP configuration dialog in Network Connections and the Internet Options dialog in IE. Everything else is handled by people who are supposed to be qualified. If you can’t fix it with a cookie setting or re-enabling the adapter, it’s not something you should be attempting to fix.
Looking around sites like this will give you a good idea of the kind of crap that help desks have to deal with.
